No-exam life insurance
Eligibility requirements for expedited underwriting, how the process operates, and your alternatives if you do not meet criteria.
Today many insurers provide accelerated underwriting: for applicants in specific age and coverage bands, they approve using your application, pharmacy records, driving records and other information without paramedical testing. Verdicts sometimes arrive within 24 hours. Every quote here notes whether that carrier will definitely examine you, might examine you, or will not require one.
What it changes
Choosing not to be examined does not bypass the underwriting review. The carrier will check your responses for accuracy, and if a policy is issued based on false information, it may be challenged within the first 24 months. The carrier may still request testing or labs if their research uncovers discrepancies; you retain the right to decline and withdraw.
Who tends to qualify
Usually those in their late 50s or younger, seeking coverage up to the carrier's fast-track threshold, with no serious disease history and no nicotine in at least a year qualify. If current lab work from a recent medical appointment is available, several carriers will use it instead of ordering new testing.
Should a medical exam be needed, a paramedical specialist typically visits your residence or workplace in the Temple City region for a 20–30 minute session, entirely at no charge. For applicants in good health, the exam findings regularly result in a better rate classification, so testing is not necessarily harmful.
